Your Giving is Changing Lives
You can participate in realizing God's story and mission here at Vineyard DuPage.
What We Believe About Giving
Giving is a deep and meaningful act of worship, trust, and obedience to the Lord. Time and again in the Bible, Jesus reminds us that our hearts are tied to how we treat our money. It is easy to put our trust or sense of security in money, but God invites us instead to surrender our earthly possessions to Him, to put our trust in Him, and so to encounter and experience the extreme goodness of God. In fact, it's the one area in the Bible where God tells us to test Him:
"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it." Malachi 3:10
We believe that giving is what God wants for us! Giving to the Vineyard also makes you a co-investor, co-worker, and partner in our vision and mission. Your tithes and giving directly supports the ministry that takes place in and through the Vineyard.

Giving FAQ's
Are donations to Vineyard deductible for tax purposes?
Yes. Vineyard Church of DuPage is classified as a public charity by the Internal Revenue Service and is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to Mission are therefore deductible under section 170 of the Code.
Do I tithe on gross pay or net pay?
The fact that you are asking that question is awesome! There is no definitive answer, so we encourage you to talk to God about how He wants you to calculate your tithe. The heart behind the tithe is to ensure that we are trusting God more than we are trusting our money. We believe He will lead you as you increasingly trust Him in this area.
How do I decide how much to give?
We think giving should be as easy as this:
1. Ask yourself: Does my current giving reflect my priorities?
2. Ask God: What is my giving "sweet spot"? Finding our "sweet spot" usually means we can answer "yes" to these questions:
-
Can I give this amount joyfully?
-
Is it a big enough step of faith to stretch and excite me?
-
Is it a small enough step of faith that I am not overwhelmed or bitter in my giving?
3. Take a step: Trust God and take the first step into your "sweet spot"" giving. Maybe that's $1 / month, maybe more. Decide with the Lord what you can do joyfully!
What happens to the money we give?
God provides for the ministry of the Vineyard Church through your tithes and offerings. We also designate 10% of the money that comes in to give away - either to local benevolence, local or international missions, or other ministries.
We honor your gifts with stewardship, ethical business practices, and full accountability so that the financial integrity of the Vineyard remains above reproach.
We operate our finances transparently and hold church-wide open family meetings multiple times a year where we share our financials in depth with our church family.
If you would like more information, please feel free to join us there or email us at office@dupagevineyard.org.
Can I give to a specific ministry?
We raise funds annually for a ministry called Tessa Grace Nutrition Center. During this fundraiser, giving is able to be designated specifically towards it.
Outside of that, every amount given to the Vineyard is used to support the overall calling of the Vineyard Church; therefore, gifts cannot be restricted for use by a specific ministry.
What is the deadline for annual contributions?
Cash contributions must be received or postmarked by December 31 to be included on your giving statement for that year. Online transactions must be initiated by December 31.
Who do I contact if I have additional questions about giving?
